Ozzy Osbourne, known world-wide as the Prince of Darkness, performed his final concert with Black Sabbath for the first time in over 20 years on July 5th, 2025. The band’s final gig was hosted at Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham.
Born John Michael Osbourne on December 3rd, 1948 in Aston, Birmingham, he left school at 15 and did several odd jobs including factory work before forming several bands with school friend Geezer Butler.
Black Sabbath performed a string of their hits for 40,000 people in Villa Park and for millions on a livestream. They were joined on stage by a who’s who of rock royalty, including Steven Tyler, Ron Wood, Tom Morello, Billy Corgan and Yungblud.
Their final performance raised £140m for charity, according to the event’s musical director Tom Morello.
A concert film celebrating the legacy of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath is set to be released in early 2026.
