Sunflower Sundae Smoothie

The Juice ReportSunflower Sundae Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz collard greens
  • 1 bananapeeled
  • 1 pearchopped
  • 3 oz cherriespitted
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup ice

This dessert-in-a-glass is so good for you, you can eat it first thing in the morning! Raw cacao powder is a natural stimulant, with some studies even linking it to increased serotonin and endorphins. It also provides iron and fiber, two things our bodies require to stay active all day. Sunflower seeds are full of healthy fat (which we need to stay energized), a pear and banana provide even more healthy fiber and potassium, and cherries and collard greens bring magnesium, vitamins A and K, and are great anti-inflammatories. Pro Tip: Chop and freeze the banana, cherries and pear before blending to make an extra creamy, “sundae-like” smoothie!
